Mayank’s Story( Turning Dreams into Reality)
Mayank, a young boy hailing from Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, grew up in Dehradun, near Laxmi Garhi, Mehuwala. He completed his intermediate (12th grade) education at SGRR Public School, Vasant Vihar, Dehradun. Like many aspirants, Mayank dreamed of serving in the armed forces, and with the support of Crack Defence Exams (CDE), he turned that dream into reality.

Mayank’s journey wasn’t easy. By his own admission, English was a major hurdle. He took two English lectures daily using CDE’s engaging video content and handwritten notes. While English required extra effort, mathematics came naturally to him. Mayank utilized CDE’s full-length mock tests, Daily Practice Quizzes (DPQs), and detailed explanations to ace this subject. He also referred to NCERT books alongside the structured content provided by CDE.

CDE’s proctored exams helped him stay on track and build the confidence needed to face the actual exam. His efforts paid off when he was recommended from the 33 SSB Bhopal.
Unconventional Tips for Success: Learning from Manga
When asked by his juniors about how he improved his communication skills, Mayank had an unexpected answer: “I used to watch manga (Japanese anime) and repeat the dialogues.” According to him, it not only enhanced his spoken English and vocabulary but also served as a source of motivation.
