Eligibility Conditions

(a) Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India.

(b) Age Limit:

  • Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as of 1st January 2026 (Born between 2nd January 2002 to 1st January 2006). Candidates with a valid Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA can have their upper age limit extended to 26 years (Born between 2nd January 2000 to 1st January 2006).
  • Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years as of 1st January 2026 (Born between 2nd January 2000 to 1st January 2006).
  • Marital Status: Candidates below 25 years must be unmarried at the commencement of the course.

Educational Qualifications

  • Flying Branch: Must have passed with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level. Graduation in any discipline with at least 60% marks.
  • Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: Must have passed with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level. Graduation in relevant engineering disciplines with at least 60% marks.
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 60% marks.

English: Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms, Vocabulary, Idioms and Phrases, Cloze Test, Analogy, Sentence Rearranging, One-Word Substitution.

General Awareness: History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Economy, Art & Culture, Defence, Science, Sports, and Personalities.

Numerical Ability: Decimal Fractions, Time and Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, Simple Interest, Time & Distance, Area & Perimeter, Probability, Mixture & Allegation, Clocks.

Reasoning and Military Aptitude: Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

How to Apply for AFCAT (1) 2025

  2. Registration: Create a new account using your email ID.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Enter personal, educational, and preference details.
  4. Upload Documents: Upload recent passport photo, signature, and thumb impression.
